Learning objective:
This six-part workshop invites participants to learn about methods for participatory project work.
Content:
Based on various participation models, the first two sessions provide insight into case studies from the participants' own practice. The focus is on different approaches and methods. Understanding the level of participation required for the project can be interpreted differently by the various groups involved, for example. Using concrete case studies from community art or science, we explore different forms of participation. In addition, the workshop encourages reflection on transparent communication and the different roles in participatory projects. In the next two sessions, we will consider how such projects can be documented and how interactive participatory documentation can be achieved in joint work with the groups. Finally, we will experiment with the 360-degree camera and develop a toolbox for participatory documentation in 360 degrees. The joint group work in the last two practical sections is intended to inspire participants to develop their own projects in participatory formats.
